You Can't Stop The Children Of The Revolution!
We's got us an honest to goodness, albeit small, but very, very mighty revolution going on!
You see that little banner in the corner, yeah, that one, the one that says "IMPEACH BUSH"!
Click that little banner for one of your own, or just go there and read about what you can do to Impeach the Shrub.
Yeah, well, Joe.My.God has a better and more efficient post than I could write, because honestly, I'd be rambling for days about this, so I'm going to send you over there for the quick view of the topic.
Write your representative, let them know that you want this man OUT!
34% presidential approval, 18% vice-presidential approval, that's not only ridiculous, it's shameful, this man is a danger to our country, a danger to our civil rights, and a danger to the world!
Update:
I spent the better part of the morning trying to get the shrub impeached, what did you do today?
To all media representatives:
I am an angry American. I'm angry because I have become ashamed to say that I am an American. Our current administration caused this shame. There is no accountability for the blatant disregard of the United States Constitution, or even the truth.
To be honest, I am also disappointed with the media's lack of responsible reporting. I challenge you to find the truth, to ask the questions that need to be asked, to do your duty for our country by exposing the reckless and dangerous actions the current administration is engaging in and to demand accountability for those actions.
The current administration has consistently lied to all of us, they have given false information over and over again only to try and backtrack and put a spin on that information that simply makes the complacent people of America consider it an acceptable truth, when indeed, those spins are nothing but more lies.
The biggest of these lies is in regard to the wiretapping without warrants which is not only illegal, but a complete violation of our most baisc civil rights!
When asked to explain why these actions were being taken, the current administration:
"Struggled to explain why the administration could not have relied on FISA provisions that allow surveillance to be conducted and a warrant obtained after the fact in emergencies."
"The Bush administration simply cannot answer this one question - if time was of the essence, why didn't they conduct the searches and get the warrants after the fact, something that is allowed under the FISA law? They conducted the searches alright, but they never once sought the retroactive warrants."
This blatant attack on our civil rights, without regard to law or the constitution, is a disturbing trend that must not only must be demanded to be stopped, but one that we should hold accountability for, and indeed impeachment sought for the current administrations if they prove to have broken the law and the civil liberties of all Americans as is apparent by their actions!
Again, I call on you, challenge you, to search for the truth and demand accountability for the deplorable actions of the current administration.
Give the American people a reason to be proud of their country once again!
With hope and sincerity,
{my name}
Los Angeles, California

Oh where do I even start? Okay, first of all, I couldn't agree with you or Joe more about this whole notion that Shrub is a despicable disgrace. But impeaching is not only unlikely, but pretty much impossible. Among the people with the power, he is the greatest thing next to Jesus. None of them are about to turn against him and that alone makes impreachment improbable. Second, despite his "crimes" (of which there are many and he IS guilty), it's really all about religion. You coastal city-dwellers have no realistic view of what it's actually like out here in the rest of the country because you are naturally insulated from the idiots making up the majority nowadays. One of the most interesting surveys done on Election Day of 04 was asking people what they based their vote on. Here in North Carolina, the MAJORITY of people either responded "Moral Values" or "Religious Beliefs". This was also the consensus in state after state after state. These people have been brainwashed and are incapable of thinking for themselves, but THEY had the power to re-elect this monster. The lies he has told, the crimes he's committed, none of that means anything to the people out here in the rest of America. To them, he is a good, God-fearing Christian and to them, he can do no wrong! Believe me...I live amongst these people...I work with these people. I have heard this come from their own mouths!
You really have to hand it to the Republican party. They managed to snag the stupidest as well as the wealthiest people in this country to put them in power. Now they can continue raping us to make the wealthy even wealthier knowing that as long as they talk about God every now and then, their core constituents will be happy and forgive them all else.
Sorry to have hijacked your blog! Believe it or not, I'm on your side in all of this. But I witness the REALITY firsthand everyday. The people of the urban centers in this country are very out of touch with the rest of America. That doesn't mean they are wrong, it just means they don't realize what they are up against. Maybe I should post this on Joe's blog too?
Well, see now, I have have to disagree. I mean, yes, I understand what you're saying about the religous right being the majority of Americans and the ones who put Shrub in office.
But that doesn't give us any excuse to stop screaming as loudly as possible about the truth, the fact that he's lied, broken the law, and has allowed horrible atrocities to occur is beyond doubt.
Personally, I feel it a responsibility to shout as loud as I can about it, even if I did think that it was completely hopeless, which I don't.
You forget though, that all those lovely red people are even waking up and realizing that a man who breaks the law, allows people to be tortured and hell, perhaps ordered it, isn't as much as a man of God that they'd like to have initially believed.
I can't, and never will, give up hope that we can be proud to be Americans again someday! There is so much potential for us.
Once again, I agree with you and I'm on your side but I'm telling you, you don't see what I see out here. You want to believe that the red people are waking up but that's not the case. Maybe a few here and there that were waffling in the first place, but the large number of them...uh-uh. Not happening.
And for the record, I have "screamed" against this administration in the past. I even marched on Washington something, prior to G.W., I never dreamed I'd care enough to do! This is BYG, coming to you from the middle of nowhere. Back to you Mek, in civilization
Bear Power!
